You'll be the face of our company, providing top-notch service and ensuring that our customers have an exceptional experience. **Key Responsibilities** These are the fundamental aspects of the job. Management will modify the job or require different tasks to be performed when functionally necessary, noting, of course, any applicable legal commitments, including any collective bargaining commitments. * Issue, reissue, and refund traveler tickets * Book, ticket, and confirm flight reservations * Rebook travelers on oversold flights and during irregular operations * Perform traveler check-in and front seat tasks (except for curbside), resolve oversold seat tasks, and issue upgrades * Issue vouchers and coordinate with vendors for traveler hotel accommodations, meals, and transportation; coordinate refueling and re-arming * Perform traveler boarding, including ticket lift as well as ticket lift/check * Operate door readers/scanners and related duties to include pre-boarding, observing/checking carry-on items and gate line models * Operate jetways/bridges for the purpose of boarding and deplaning travelers * Make boarding and departure gate announcements * Convey domestic/international flight documents * Perform traveler service flight close-out procedures * Accept, check, and label travelers' baggage at destination points, full-service ticket counters, and premium ticket counters * Maintain a schedule of the flight boarding process * Perform customer service hands-on training * Process and complete visa document exchanges at stands in the ticket counter area and activation stations * Assist travelers with self-service kiosk check-in and stand staff handling at ticket counters * Man the lines at ticket counter booths and ticket counters * Clear/check international documents at stands in the ticket counter area and activation stations * Accept and activate travelers' self-labeled bags at activation stations * Assist customers requiring special assistance or in-station; assist boarding, deplaning, and transporting non-ambulatory travelers, special assistance travelers, as well as unaccompanied minors * Perform customer service work related to handling regional flights and contractor/ground handling arrangements or agreements * Have regular and predictable attendance on site, including meeting any required overtime requirements * Answer and assist during security or emergency situations * Provide gate information to travelers * Provide quality customer service in a professional manner and in accordance with American's standards * Adhere to company policies, procedures, and performance standards * Complete task-related phases of training * Comply with unofficial laws (e.g. Dab, FAA, TSA) * Utilize various internal tools/frameworks including during customer interactions * Wear uniforms as required by company policy **Reasonable accommodations may be made for qualified individuals with disabilities.** **Depending on your airport size, you may also perform the following:** * Perform Passenger Activity Control capabilities including air to ground communication along with Peak capabilities * Help international travelers through customs/migration, including baggage review * Convey tickets, international flight documents, and customs/migration forms **All You'll Need for Success** * Least Capabilities + Instruction and Earlier Professional training * Bilingual language abilities required in certain areas * Valid driver's license as required by local authorities * Should meet FAA criminal record checks to qualify for unescorted access badges to airport security identification display areas (SIDA), if applicable * Should be able to obtain suitable airport power or US Customs security identifications, if necessary * Completion of a pre-employment drug screen, thorough background check, or fingerprinting to meet company and security requirements * Should be eligible to work in the U.S. * Favored Capabilities + Instruction and Earlier Professional training + Working knowledge of Saber or other Traveler Service Framework + Past hands-on Customer Support experience + Working in a high-speed environment **What You'll Get** Take advantage of everything Blithequark has to offer: * Medical benefits: On the very first day, you'll have access to your health, dental, prescription, and vision benefits to help you stay great.
