About the Role We are looking for a skilled and enthusiastic Mathematics Teacher to teach students aged 6-15 in a part-time, online capacity. Key Responsibilities Teach mathematics to students aged 6-15, focusing on developing their problem-solving skills and mathematical knowledge Engage in collaborative learning-sharing sessions with students, promoting a supportive and inclusive online learning environment Utilize prepared materials from our curriculum team, adapting them to meet the diverse needs of your students Work flexible hours, with a minimum of 8 hours fixed availability weekly for 6 months, including weekends (Friday: 4pm-9pm, Saturday - Sunday: 2:00pm - 9:00pm, Los Angeles Time or Sydney Time) Participate in ongoing professional development, staying up-to-date with best practices in online education and mathematics teaching Essential Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in Education or a Science-related major (e.g., Mathematics, Physics, or Engineering) Minimum one year of teaching, tutoring, coaching, or mentoring experience, preferably with primary students Excellent interaction skills, with the ability to inspire and connect with students online Strong knowledge of mathematics, with the ability to explain complex concepts in a clear and concise manner Proficiency in using digital tools and platforms, including online learning management systems Preferred Qualifications Experience with online teaching, particularly in a part-time or freelance capacity Familiarity with mathematics competition teaching, such as AMC (American Mathematics Competitions) Knowledge of multiple languages, with the ability to teach mathematics in a multilingual setting Experience with curriculum development, educational research, or academic publishing Skills and Competencies Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, parents, and colleagues Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision, in a remote setting Strong technical skills, including proficiency in using online learning platforms, digital tools, and software applications Commitment to ongoing professional development, with a desire to stay current with best practices in online education and mathematics teaching Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At WuKong Education, we are committed to supporting the professional growth and development of our educators.
