If you're a seasoned professional with a passion for international freight forwarding and a knack for strategic thinking, we want to hear from you. **Job Summary:** As an Experienced Ocean Product Development Specialist, you'll work closely with our MD of Ocean to develop and implement strategies that support the growth of our ocean volumes and enhance the effectiveness of our sales teams. You'll be responsible for supporting carrier development, pricing, and performance analysis, as well as communicating with internal and external stakeholders to outline strategy and market conditions. Your expertise will be essential in promoting our ocean product and driving business growth. **Key Responsibilities:** * Develop and implement strategies to increase ocean volumes, maximize competitiveness, and enhance service quality * Support carrier development, pricing, and performance analysis, including analyzing carrier service, routings, and performance * Communicate with internal and external stakeholders to outline strategy, market conditions, and deliverables * Work closely with the MD, Ocean, and global trade lane team to promote the ocean product and drive business growth * Conduct regular service reviews to ensure agreed-upon KPIs are being met or exceeded * Assist in gathering, analyzing, and reporting information regarding performance and competitive activity * Manage annual budget and control, monitor, and report results on a regular basis to achieve budget targets * Work closely with marketing to develop external and internal communications specific to the ocean product **Essential Qualifications:** * Bachelor's degree or equivalent (8) years of experience in international freight forwarding industry, including direct ocean experience in working with ocean contracts, negotiating ocean rates, quoting ocean rates, and analyzing ocean rates and routing * Prior ocean carrier experience a plus * Familiar with Microsoft Office apps * Excellent communication and presentation skills * Business-oriented and remarkable business acumen * Strong interpersonal and leadership skills **Preferred Qualifications:** * Master's degree or higher in a related field * Proven track record of success in ocean product development and sales * Experience working with global trade lanes and managing international logistics operations * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities **Skills and Competencies:** * Strategic thinking and planning * Excellent communication and presentation skills * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities * Strong interpersonal and leadership skills * Business-oriented and remarkable business acumen * Familiarity with Microsoft Office apps **Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits:** At arenaflex, we're committed to helping our employees grow and develop their careers.
