Experienced Mobile Application Engineer

We are hiring an experienced Mobile Application Developer to lead the development of a B2C mobile application supporting students' club activities in universities across Japan.
What You Will Do
ā¢ Build & Ship: Build, ship, and maintain cross-platform mobile features for iOS and Android using React Native.
ā¢ End-to-End Ownership: Own features from discovery and technical design through implementation, testing, release, and monitoring.
ā¢ Architectural Integrity: Implement clean, testable architecture and maintain high code quality through rigorous reviews and documentation.
ā¢ Data & APIs: Integrate with GraphQL APIs and handle data persistence, offline caching, deep links, and background tasks.
ā¢ Quality Assurance: Write automated tests (unit, integration, UI) and contribute to CI/CD pipelines and release processes.
ā¢ Platform Support: Support App Store and Google Play submissions, manage release notes, and rollout strategies.
What We Can Expect from You
ā¢ Mobile Expertise: Professional experience building and shipping production mobile apps with React Native.
ā¢ Technical Mastery: Expert understanding of JavaScript, TypeScript, and modern CSS (ideally Tailwind).
ā¢ Integration Skills: Strong experience with GraphQL, WebSockets, and mobile data persistence (e.g., SQLite, Realm).
ā¢ DevOps Knowledge: Familiarity with release tooling and app store processes (App Store Connect, Google Play Console, Firebase, GitHub Actions).
ā¢ Security Mindset: Knowledge of secure storage and mobile security practices (OWASP MASVS).
ā¢ Language: Fluency in either English or Japanese, with at least conversational proficiency in the other.
Bonus Points
ā¢ Meaningful experience with functional backend languages like Elixir or Ruby on Rails.
ā¢ Experience with AWS Services, Firebase, and Postgres database development.

ā¢ Compensation: Ā„8.0 - 12.0 million/year (negotiable based on experience).
