Job Overview As a Project Support Specialist at blithequark, you will play a vital role in supporting our Revenue Recovery Department. This hybrid position offers a mix of remote and in-office work, with a flexible schedule of 2-3 days on and off. You will work closely with our team of professionals to ensure seamless project execution, data accuracy, and exceptional client service. Key Responsibilities Retrieve patient medical records from various hospital systems, ensuring timely and accurate access to necessary information. Generate and prepare patient itemized bills in appropriate formats for internal and external audits, maintaining the highest level of accuracy and attention to detail. Extract and enter necessary information from/to hospital patient accounting systems, utilizing your data entry skills to ensure seamless data flow. Make phone calls to post-acute healthcare facilities to obtain required information on patients, demonstrating excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Run and create reports as needed, analyzing data to identify trends and areas for improvement. Assist with information gathering and data entry tasks as required by the recovery team, providing exceptional support and ensuring project goals are met. Scan and index documents, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. Essential Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., health information management, medical records, or a related field) preferred. Proven experience in data entry, medical records, or a related field, with a strong understanding of healthcare operations and revenue cycle management. Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and experience with electronic health records (EHRs) and other healthcare software applications. Strong attention to detail, with a high level of accuracy and quality in work products. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines with ease. Preferred Qualifications Certification in medical records, health information management, or a related field (e.g., RHIT, CCA, or CPC). Experience working in a revenue recovery or revenue integrity environment, with a strong understanding of billing and coding principles. Knowledge of compliance regulations, such as HIPAA, and experience with audit and compliance procedures. Experience with project management tools and software, with the ability to adapt to new technologies and systems. Bilingual or multilingual skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse patient populations.
