**Job Summary**

As a Medical Insurance Customer Service Advisor, you'll play a critical role in ensuring that our patients receive exceptional support and care. You'll be responsible for communicating with new patients about the billing process, proactively reaching out to patients with billing policy changes, and administering the Financial Assistance Program (FAP). You'll also respond to inbound patient billing calls, addressing concerns and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.

**Key Responsibilities**

* Communicate with all new patients relative to the billing procedure
* Proactively reach out to patients with billing policy changes
* Address patient concerns within the duration of the initial call or escalate to a manager if necessary
* Conduct follow-up phone calls to patients as needed, recognizing and resolving customer issues in a timely manner and escalating to leadership as necessary
* Serve as an initial and consistent point of contact for patients regarding the Financial Assistance Program, including statements, insurance changes, and charges
* Manage, update, and communicate all aspects of the FAP to the appropriate department
* Communicate and obtain any requested patient information changes for database maintenance/updates
* Input data into the company computer platform to keep each customer record updated
* Share knowledge gained with other staff members and work as a team
* Interact with others in a positive, respectful, and considerate manner
* Recognize patients' rights and responsibilities and support them in the performance of job duties, respecting patients' rights to privacy and confidentiality
* Perform other job-related duties as assigned

**Qualification Requirements**

* Answer the telephone promptly and in a polite and professional manner
* Strong customer service acumen
* Effective verbal and listening communication skills
* Ability to make decisions, solve problems, and work independently
* Demonstrate attention to detail and accuracy
* Basic computer proficiency
* Ability to quickly learn the use of Lynx and CPR+
* Knowledge in the use of Microsoft applications
