About the Role The Mechanical Quality Control Inspector plays a critical role in our organization, reporting directly to the Quality Supervisor. This position is responsible for performing quality control functions to assure compliance with federal and state regulations, as well as owner and client requirements for each project. Our ideal candidate is a detail-oriented and organized individual with excellent communication skills and a strong background in quality control. Key Responsibilities Quality Control Inspections: Perform special processes and field installation inspections and surveillance of equipment and materials to ensure compliance with specifications, procedures, and plans. Welding Inspections: Conduct field in-process welding inspections to ensure high-quality workmanship. Documentation and Record-Keeping: Update and maintain Quality Control files and documentation, ensuring accuracy and completeness. Communication and Collaboration: Notify supervisors of any discrepancies found between work completed and material installed and owner or client quality requirements. Engineering Drawings Review: Review engineering drawings and track quality progress based on the scope of work. Installation Procedures: Assist in the processing of installation procedures to ensure smooth project execution. Essential Qualifications and Skills To succeed in this role, you'll need: AWS Certified Welding Inspector certification: Current certification is required. Quality Control Experience: 2-4 years of experience in engineering and quality control, or a relevant field. Excellent Communication Skills: Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in writing and orally, with a professional demeanor. Education: High school diploma required; Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business Administration preferred. Computer Skills: Proficiency in programming and job applications. Physical Demands: Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, with adequate visual acuity to perform tasks safely. Preferred Qualifications Relevant Work Experience: Directly related work experience may substitute for education requirements. Training and Certifications: Attends training sessions, seminars, and educational classes required by the department. Professional Representation: Ability to represent Workwarp in a professional manner and negotiate favorably with key stakeholders.
