**Job Summary**
As a Manager State & Higher Education at arenaflex, you'll be responsible for executing the strategic direction of our State, Local, and Higher Education (SLED) managed travel accounts. You'll coach and develop our Field Government Account Managers and designated portfolio management, helping to increase sales, establish formal partnerships, and broaden awareness of our corporate travel programs and services. This is a remote work opportunity, which may require occasional travel for training, meetings, and conferences.
**Key Responsibilities**
* Execute the strategic direction of SLED managed travel accounts, including increasing sales, establishing formal partnerships, and broadening awareness of our corporate travel programs and services
* Coach and develop Field Government Account Managers and designated portfolio management to achieve sales and business growth objectives
* Identify, hire, onboard, and train a sales organization of trusted Advisors in the managed travel industry
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement business strategies and initiatives
* Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to inform business decisions and drive growth
* Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including government officials, higher education institutions, and other business partners
* Stay up-to-date with industry developments, best practices, and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance and competitiveness
**Essential Qualifications**
* 5+ years of experience in a management or leadership role, preferably in the travel or hospitality industry
* Proven track record of success in sales, business development, and account management
* Strong understanding of the SLED market, including government procurement processes and regulations
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed business decisions
* Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field
