Key Responsibilities

Deliver reporting and insights in the area of paid media to support business decisions
Design and build/lead the development of analytics, business intelligence, and data science capabilities to enhance paid media and improve marketing efficiencies
Collaborate with paid media data science teams and marketing teams to implement media mix models
Conduct ad-hoc analysis through database querying, followed by rapid interpretation of results and the reporting and communication of recommendations that drive action
Partner with marketing, finance, and product teams to address business challenges and track marketing and product performance with a data-driven approach
Utilize Structured Query Language (SQL), MicroStrategy, Tableau, Excel, and other reporting tools to create and maintain scheduled and ad-hoc reports
Analyze data to identify business issues and lead deep dives to perform root cause analysis
Collaborate with stakeholders to leverage data (internal data from Amazon and external data from market research and marketing agencies) and address complex business challenges by delivering meaningful insights
Conceptualize and run analysis that generates insights on customer behavior and customer needs to help further develop and improve the company's offerings


About You
To be successful in this role, you should be an autonomous, analytical self-starter with strong problem-solving skills, comfortable with ambiguity, and able to analyze data and draw conclusions. You should be able to scope a problem, design relevant questions, extract meaningful data, and provide insights from the data. As a Manager of Analytics, you will be a key player in supporting strategic decision-making by creating and communicating custom reporting and analysis that informs the company's paid media strategy.

Essential Qualifications

Experience in the field of Business Intelligence, Analytics, or Consulting in an e-commerce environment or related field
Advanced SQL experience
Advanced experience with at least one industry analysis and metrics visualization tool (e.g., Tableau/QuickSight/PowerBI)
Proficient in Excel with a proven track record
Degree in data science, business, economics, information technology, statistics, mathematics, or other related field

Experience with subscription, membership-based, or media content organizations
Experience with and/or interest in learning more about state-of-the-art data science approaches
Programming languages: knowledge of Python
Knowledge of other programming languages, such as Java or C#, or of statistical programming languages like R or SAS
Knowledge of Adobe Analytics
