About the Role We’re seeking an experienced Loan Officer Assistant (LOA) who is laser-focused on operational excellence and borrower satisfaction. Our ideal candidate is someone who brings a high-degree of experience in this position. Processing manager or underwriting experience is a plus! This role is central to the success of our high-performing loan teams, ensuring every file moves swiftly and accurately from application to close. You will be the engine behind a high-volume, fast-moving pipeline - driving performance, solving problems, and collaborating across departments to ensure seamless execution. You must be able to stay poised under pressure and deadlines with at least 10+ years experience in the mortgage industry supporting multiple top 1% loan originators. You have the opportunity to work fully remote but you will need to be able to work hours that align with the team's CST time zone requirements. Key Responsibilities • Own and manage a high-volume loan pipeline with precision and urgency, and provide daily LO action lists and weekly pipeline reporting for your team. • Serve as the pivotal point of coordination between borrowers, loan officers, underwriters, and closers - must be comfortable calling clients. • Assist borrowers by collecting documents, answering questions, and providing status updates in a timely manner to meet COE dates. • Proactively identify and resolve pipeline bottlenecks to ensure timely closings. • Track and manage key milestones: closing dates, contingency deadlines, and lock expirations. • Maintain pipeline visibility and successfully resolve loan level escalations. • Engage directly with processors and underwriters to assist with restructuring loans when needed and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements. • Provide hands-on support for complex or stalled files to keep them moving forward. • Champion a team-first mindset, supporting clients, loan officers and processors to deliver a 5-star borrower experience. Qualifications • 10+ years of experience in mortgage processing, pipeline management, or production operations. • Deep knowledge of Conventional, Jumbo, NON-QM, GOVT, and HECM loan products. • Strong command of income, asset, and loan structuring guidelines. • Proficiency with Encompass LOS, pricing engines, and pipeline management tools. • Proven ability to execute with a high degree of poise and accuracy under pressure, prioritize effectively, and meet aggressive deadlines. • Excellent borrower communication and relationship-building skills to drive client retention. • Bonus: Prior experience as an underwriter or production manager. • $55k-65k Base (DOE), plus attractive bonus structure Why Citywide?
