Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse – Health Services Technician to join our team at the Coffee Creek Correctional Facility in Wilsonville, Oregon. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing clinical, emergency care, and treatment to adults in custody. Key Responsibilities

Provide wound care, including post-operative dressings and maintaining aseptic conditions
Recognize signs and symptoms related to the disease process and conduct nursing procedures, including treatments
Administer medications, identify adverse side effects, and notify the Registered Nurse (RN) or physician as needed
Use routine equipment, such as stethoscopes, blood pressure cuffs, and oxygen, to provide high-quality patient care
Provide first aid and CPR as needed
Perform phlebotomy and other nursing procedures as required
Assess the severity of emergencies using triage format and develop a treatment plan for life-threatening emergencies
Delegate non-nursing duties to unlicensed staff and provide direction as needed
Prepare accurate written documentation, records of nursing care given, and patient progress notes
Monitor patients' conditions, including vital signs, intravenous fluids, and medication needs


Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications:

Two (2) years of experience in the care and treatment of physically ill or injured patients, including training and/or experience in pharmacy and medical laboratory techniques and procedures
Valid Oregon Licensed Practical Nurse certification
Valid First Aid and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Card
Valid driver's license


Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following preferred qualifications will be considered an asset:

Experience working in a correctional setting or with a similar population
Knowledge of health-related resources and the ability to research and develop educational programs
Experience with electronic medical records and other healthcare software
