Job Summary As a Janitor at La Salle University, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the university's facilities. Your contributions will be essential to creating a positive and healthy environment that supports the academic success of students. This is a full-time position with a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package. Key Responsibilities Collects and disposes of trash following approved procedures and infection control plans. Dusts and damp mops floors following approved procedures to maintain a clean and safe environment. Moves equipment and furniture for proper cleaning and returns furniture to its correct placement. Cleans assigned areas using assigned materials and equipment, following the eight-step cleaning procedure to sanitize all surfaces. Washes walls, windows, furniture, baseboards, and other items to maintain a clean and safe environment. Takes initiative to identify areas requiring cleaning and completes tasks without being prompted. Completes all tasks assigned by supervisors and performs tasks in accordance with federal, state, and county guidelines. Strips, scrubs, buffs, and refinishes floors; shampoos carpet to maintain the appearance and longevity of university facilities. Contributes to the team by exhibiting professionalism with customers, fellow employees, and others. Performs other duties as assigned. Essential and Preferred Qualifications No previous experience is required for this role; we provide comprehensive training to ensure your success. However, you should be able to perform the essential functions of the position satisfactorily with or without a reasonable accommodation.
