Experienced Incident Manager for Remote AWS Cloud Infrastructure Management

About the Role We're looking for a highly skilled Incident Manager to oversee the management of IT production incidents in a 24/7/365 environment. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our clients' AWS cloud infrastructure, troubleshooting issues, and resolving incidents in a timely and effective manner. Key Responsibilities Manage IT production incidents to resolution using Client incident management processes and communicate incident status, impact, and resolution actions. Utilize hands-on experience to manage and monitor applications deployed on Amazon Web Services (AWS), troubleshooting and resolving incidents on the AWS cloud infrastructure. Develop and implement tools for monitoring and troubleshooting system resources in an AWS environment, leveraging expertise in AWS tools such as EC2, ELB, RDS, Redshift, DynamoDB, Aurora, Route53, ECS, Lambda, S3, Batch, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, and WAF. Apply monitoring experience with tools like Extrahop, SolarWinds, Netcool suite, Catchpoint, and MoogSoft to identify and resolve issues. Perform transaction level monitoring using Dynatrace and Splunk, analyzing data to evaluate multiple application protocols and supporting infrastructure. Lead and guide Incident triage calls from a technical perspective, analyzing different components of the infrastructure and application environment. Troubleshoot incidents and identify root cause quickly using operations, wire data analytics, application performance management, and event correlation monitoring tools. Proactively monitor the health of applications and underlying infrastructure, analyzing dashboards and reporting/monitoring tools to identify trends and patterns. Essential Qualifications To succeed in this role, you'll need: A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in a relevant field. Hands-on experience working with AWS tools, including EC2, ELB, RDS, Redshift, DynamoDB, Aurora, Route53, ECS, Lambda, S3, Batch, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, and WAF. Monitoring experience with tools like Extrahop, SolarWinds, Netcool suite, Catchpoint, and MoogSoft. Experience with transaction level monitoring using Dynatrace and Splunk. The ability to triage AWS-related incidents using monitoring tools on AWS Cloud. Preferred Qualifications While not essential, the following qualifications will give you a competitive edge: Experience with performance engineering of AWS Cloud applications. Knowledge of multiple application protocols, including web, database, storage, and supporting infrastructure such as UNIX, DNS, LDAP, SSL, SMTP, and FTP. A strong understanding of cloud infrastructure and application management. Skills and Competencies To excel as an Incident Manager at Workwarp, you'll need: Strong technical skills, with a focus on AWS cloud infrastructure and application management. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues. Effective communication and leadership skills, with the ability to guide Incident triage calls and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
