Job Summary
We are currently accepting applications for part-time Math and Science tutors to work in-home with students in Santa Monica, West LA, Brentwood, Palisades, and Beverly Hills. As a tutor with LA Tutors 123, you will have the opportunity to work with students in a collaborative and dynamic environment, using your expertise to drive academic success and inspire a love of learning.
Key Responsibilities
Provide one-on-one in-home tutoring services to students in Math and Science subjects, including Algebra II, Geometry, Chemistry, Biology, and Physics
Develop and implement customized lesson plans tailored to each student's needs and learning style
Manage tutoring timelines and communicate effectively with students, parents, and our team
Utilize your teaching and tutoring experience to create engaging and interactive learning experiences
Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay up-to-date on best practices and subject matter expertise
Qualifications
Essential Requirements
Minimum of 3 years of prior teaching or tutoring experience
A relatively flexible schedule, particularly after 12 PM on weekdays
In-depth knowledge of Middle School and High School Math and Science subjects, including Algebra II, Geometry, Chemistry, Biology, and Physics
Bachelor's degree or higher from a prestigious university
Strong interpersonal skills and a fun, positive personality
Minimum 1-year commitment to working with LA Tutors 123
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience creating lesson plans and managing tutoring timelines
Experience working with students with diverse learning needs and abilities
