**The Role of a Home-Based Sr. Specialist in Collections**
As a Home-Based Sr. Specialist in Collections, you will be responsible for interacting with guests and negotiating bill arrangements for both inbound and outbound collections. You will provide a signature careerzynith experience through treating guests with admiration and appreciation, showing courtesy and friendliness, spotting various guest segments, and supplying suitable plausible solutions. You will be responsible for genuine expertise and adhering to all credit regulations and procedures, account fee terms, billing/collections structures, and various state and federal laws, guidelines, and policies governing credit and collections.
**Key Responsibilities:**
* Interact with guests and negotiate bill arrangements for both inbound and outbound collections
* Provide a signature careerzynith experience through treating guests with admiration and appreciation, showing courtesy and friendliness, spotting various guest segments, and supplying suitable plausible solutions
* Demonstrate problem-solving skills through probing or making guidelines for handling of exceptional account situations (e.g., bankruptcy, CCC, deceased, legal, fraud, billing disputes, etc.)
* Work in a multi-media environment (emails, telephone calls, chat messages, and letters) that is fast-paced and requires prioritization of work
* Utilize various data and reports to respond to questions, identify issues, and accurately resolve guest problems
* Possess strong technical skills, ability to work within multiple systems, and high proficiency with PC/Microsoft applications
* Access to a home workspace that is free from noise distractions to perform the role
* Hardwired internet at your home location (Hardwired: using an Ethernet cable to directly connect the Target-issued laptop to the modem or router)
* Meet the minimum bandwidth requirement of 40mbps download/5mbps upload
* Ability to interact through a Target-issued internet digital camera for required meetings, training, and/or interactions
* Ability to securely lift and carry up to twenty-five pounds of equipment
**About You**
* High School Diploma or GED
* Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays
* 1-2 years of prior guest experience or customer service experience
* Ability to interact with guests, team members, and internal business partners with a professional, friendly, empathetic style, and de-escalate as needed
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including listening, negotiating, and decision-making skills
* Experience handling escalated guest complaints
* Ability to apply various data and reports to respond to questions, identify issues, and accurately resolve guest problems
* Strong technical skills, ability to work within multiple systems, and high proficiency with PC/Microsoft applications
