About the Role: Healthcare Patient Customer Service Representative
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Healthcare Patient Customer Service Representative to provide exceptional support to our patients. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for addressing patient inquiries, resolving issues, and delivering a positive customer experience. This is a remote position, offering the flexibility to work from the comfort of your own home, with a standard Monday to Friday schedule and no weekend work required.

Primary Responsibilities:

Answer patient calls regarding Explanation of Benefits (EOB) and research balances to provide accurate and timely information.
Manage patient refunds, ensuring that all refund requests are processed efficiently and effectively.
Process patient payments, maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.


Requirements for Success:
To excel in this role, you will need:

A minimum of one year of experience in medical billing and collections, with a strong understanding of medical billing and reimbursement for commercial insurance, Medicaid, and Medicare.
Current knowledge of medical billing and reimbursement principles, including EOBs, and the ability to effectively communicate with patients via phone and in writing.
Extensive attention to detail, organization, and multi-tasking skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
A positive and patient-centric approach, with a strong focus on delivering exceptional customer service to clients, guests, and patients.
Self-motivation, a team-oriented mindset, and a willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic environment.


Essential Qualifications:
In addition to the above requirements, the ideal candidate will possess:

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with patients, clients, and colleagues.
A strong understanding of revenue cycle management principles, including billing, coding, and reimbursement.
Proficiency in using technology, including electronic health records, billing systems, and customer relationship management software.
A high school diploma or equivalent, with a preference for candidates with a degree in a related field, such as healthcare administration or medical billing.
