About the Role: Driving Compliance and Quality Care in Healthcare Facilities As a Health Facility Surveyor, you will play a critical role in ensuring that healthcare facilities across the US comply with state and federal regulations. Your expertise will help drive quality care and improve patient outcomes, making a tangible difference in the lives of individuals nationwide. You'll have the flexibility to work on a part-time or full-time basis, with a competitive compensation package that reflects your skills and experience. Key Responsibilities: Conducting Surveys, Inspections, and Investigations Travel to healthcare facility locations to conduct in-depth surveys and investigations, observing day-to-day operations and assessing the adequacy of care provided. Conduct interviews with residents, patients, facility staff, clinical staff, and others to gather information and insights. Work collaboratively with a team of surveyors when required, sharing findings and contributing to written reports on survey results. Create detailed written reports on survey findings, providing actionable recommendations for improvement. Contribute to legal matters, including written and verbal statements, and testimony regarding facility operations as needed. Essential Qualifications: Expertise and Experience in Healthcare Survey and Compliance To succeed in this role, you'll need: Prior experience working as a State or Federal Surveyor/Investigator within the past 3 years, with a valid Surveyor ID / FSID Number. For nursing home surveyors, passing the State Minimum Qualifications Test (SMQT) is a requirement. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to represent State and Federal agencies in a professional manner. The ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach to your work. Preferred Qualifications: Enhancing Your Application While not required, the following qualifications can enhance your application: RN/LPN license, demonstrating your expertise in healthcare and patient care. Experience working in long-term care, home health, hospice, or other healthcare settings. Effective communication skills, with the ability to articulate findings and recommendations clearly.
