As a GIS Data Entry Support Specialist at blithequark, you will be part of a dynamic team that is shaping the future of geospatial analysis and mapping. Key Responsibilities Create, edit, manage, and publish GIS feature data in a geodatabase environment and on the cloud using Esri software, including ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online. Design and develop high-quality cartographic products that effectively communicate geospatial information. Apply geospatial analysis methods and ESRI GIS applications development principles to support project objectives. Utilize Microsoft Office applications, especially Word, Excel, and Outlook, to facilitate communication and data exchange. Perform data entry tasks with accuracy and attention to detail, ensuring data integrity and quality. Collaborate with team members to achieve project goals and deliver results. Essential Qualifications To be considered for this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications: A bachelor's degree in Geography, Earth Science, Data Science, or a related field from an accredited college or university. A minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience in GIS, with a strong background in data entry, cartographic design, and geospatial analysis. Proficiency in Esri software, including ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, especially Word, Excel, and Outlook. Ability to work independently in a remote environment with minimal supervision. Qualifying professional experience in GIS may substitute for the education requirement on a year-for-year basis, to a maximum of four years. Additionally, qualifying graduate-level coursework in GIS may substitute for the work experience requirement on a year-for-year basis, to a maximum of two years. Preferred Qualifications While not mandatory, the following preferred qualifications will be considered a plus: Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and Avenza MAPublisher. Familiarity with Arcade and/or JavaScript programming for GIS applications and API integration. Experience with cloud-based GIS platforms and data management.
