With a strong understanding of various games and gaming platforms, you will develop lesson plans that promote learning and fun. **Responsibilities** * Conduct weekly sessions (typically 1 hour in length) that are interactive and educational, promoting teamwork, strategy, and critical thinking. * Select age-appropriate games and develop lesson plans that align with our educational goals. * Foster a positive and supportive environment where all students feel comfortable participating and sharing ideas. * Encourage teamwork and collaboration among students, guiding them in working together to achieve common goals within the games. * Provide constructive feedback and support to students, helping them improve their skills and knowledge. * Maintain clear communication with students and parents regarding session schedules, content, and student progress. * Stay current with the latest trends in gaming and educational practices to enhance the learning experience. **Qualifications** * Gaming knowledge: Strong understanding of various games and gaming platforms (e.g., PC, console, mobile). * Teaching experience: Prior experience teaching or working with children in an educational or recreational setting is preferred. * Communication skills: Excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to engage with students of various ages. * Passion for gaming and education: A genuine enthusiasm for gaming and a desire to share that passion with students. * Technical proficiency: Comfortable using online teaching platforms and tools (e.g., Zoom, Discord). * Background check: Must be willing to undergo a background check as required by Outschool policies. **Compensation** This is an independent contractor position with competitive pay based on experience and session attendance.
