Experienced Full-Time Senior Bookkeeper - Remote
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Bookkeeper to join our dynamic finance team. This pivotal role involves managing complex bookkeeping tasks, ensuring accurate financial record-keeping for a wide range of business clients. As an experienced professional, you will leverage your expertise in QuickBooks Online to maintain precise ledgers, reconcile accounts, and prepare essential financial reports. Your proactive approach and strong understanding of accounting standards will contribute significantly to client satisfaction.
• Manage bookkeeping for an assigned portfolio of clients across a wide range of industries
• Perform detailed account reconciliation, including bank reconciliations, balance sheet reconciliation, and account analysis to identify discrepancies and resolve issues promptly using QuickBooks Online
• Maintain general ledgers and ensure accuracy of all financial data
• Prepare basic and custom financial reports, including profit & loss statements and balance sheets
• Perform year-end closing procedures, assist with audits, and ensure all financial data is complete and compliant with internal controls
• Communicate with clients regarding missing information, questions, or discrepancies
• Maintain compliance with firm standards and accounting principles
• Support the accounting team with special projects as requested
• Extensive experience with QuickBooks Online
• Strong knowledge of corporate accounting practices as well as non-profit accounting standards
• Proficiency in GAAP guidelines and technical accounting concepts such as double entry bookkeeping, debits & credits, journal entries, and general ledger reconciliation
• Expertise in bank reconciliation, account analysis, account reconciliation, and general ledger accounting processes
• Ability to perform complex account reconciliations and financial report writing with accuracy and clarity
• Familiarity with governmental accounting procedures and tax experience for compliance purposes
• Excellent understanding of financial concepts including budgeting, payroll processing, accounts payable/receivable management, and account analysis
• Strong organizational skills with proficiency in 10 key typing for data entry accuracy
• Effective communication skills for preparing detailed financial reports and collaborating across teams
• Experience in working in outside systems to pull key transaction information to complete accounting and reconciliations. Systems include: Growthzone, Stripe, Square, Auth.net, Omega, Service Titan, Trello, Wave, Bloomerang, Mind Body, ADP, Paychex, Northstar Payroll, ISolve, SurePayroll, Choice Payroll, Gusto
