Our Disney Diversion and Blithequark Innovation HR Group is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manager, HR Business Partner to join our team in Los Angeles or New York City. As a key member of our HR team, you will play a critical role in driving business outcomes and talent development across our Programming and Product groups within the Trade, Development, and Character association. About the Trade, Development, and Character Association The Trade, Development, and Character association is a vital part of Blithequark's business, driving the product and tech strategy for our streaming services, including Disney+, Hulu, Blithequark+, and other industry-leading products. This association is responsible for developing and implementing innovative solutions for content distribution, packaging, tiering, and other business and development stages across our streaming services. Job Summary As a Manager, HR Business Partner at Blithequark, you will be a trusted advisor to business leaders and HR partners, providing strategic guidance on talent matters, organizational effectiveness, and change management. You will lead and work on HR projects and initiatives, collaborating with key business and HR partners to drive business outcomes and foster a culture of continuous learning and development. Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the business, building effective and productive working relationships with internal partners and clients. Proactively evaluate business and organizational performance, recommending and driving action through a consultative, "impact without power" approach. Mentor leaders on HR strategies, processes, and management issues, including talent planning, learning and development, employee engagement, and performance management. Drive innovation and agility, seeking new approaches to our work and demonstrating adaptability, transparency, and global thinking. Support leaders and employees with timely and effective solutions. Analyze HR data and trends, presenting findings in a clear and compelling manner that informs business decisions. Provide guidance on headcount and resource management, collaborating with Talent Acquisition and Compensation partners to ensure effective recruitment and talent management. Utilize understanding of individual and organizational dynamics to facilitate onboarding, talent management, internal mobility, and overall team development. Collaborate with DEI functional teams and employee resource groups to implement and track the success of key Inclusion initiatives. Assess talent capabilities and development needs, working with Learning partners to design and deliver development experiences that address gaps in current and future capabilities. Lead organization design initiatives to streamline and implement new structures, roles, or processes that drive speed, efficiency, and agility. Foster a positive work relationship with other HR colleagues, collaborating on projects and initiatives across various groups within Blithequark. Requirements and Qualifications Essential Qualifications Minimum 5 years of experience as an HR Business Partner, ideally within a tech organization working with software or product teams. Experience working with senior leaders in an "impact without power" role. Ability to perform with a "focus in" disposition, equally proficient at thinking strategically and functionally. Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage ambiguity, navigating issues that don't always have a process or framework in place. Strong business acumen with a sharp ability to process new information quickly. Proven ability to influence and partner within a diverse organization to drive business results. Excellent analytical skills and the ability to rapidly interpret data, identify trends, and recommend solutions. Autonomous work style, balancing the need for collaboration with minimal management. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in Business, HR Management, Psychology, or equivalent work experience. Experience working in a media and entertainment organization. Certification in HR (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) or related field.
