Position Overview
Job Title: Emergency Department Medical Scribe
Location: Remote (with required on-site training)
Start Date: Immediate openings available
Schedule: Flexible schedule with evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
Key Responsibilities
As a Medical Scribe, you will work closely with our Emergency Medicine physicians to assist with various administrative aspects of patient care. Your primary responsibilities will include:
Recording patient history, review of systems, physical exam findings, progress notes, procedure notes, and follow-up of laboratory and diagnostic results
Assisting with managing patient flow by notifying physicians of laboratory or diagnostic study results
Monitoring charts to ensure timely completion and accuracy
Communicating with hospital personnel through face-to-face conversations, paging, phone calls, and emails
Retrieving previous medical records and lab results using electronic records
Administering patient surveys as requested
Assisting with training new Medical Scribes and CIMs
Requirements and Qualifications
To be considered for this exciting opportunity, you must:
Essential Qualifications:
Have completed formal medical scribe training
Have previous experience working as a Medical Scribe in the Emergency Department
Strong knowledge of medical terminology and electronic medical records
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a related field
Experience with electronic medical records and charting systems
Strong organizational and time management skills
