Job Overview We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Data Entry and IT Service Desk Specialist to join our team at blithequark. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for providing exceptional technical support and assistance to our employees, partners, and vendors. Key Responsibilities Maintain Service Desk metrics by meeting or exceeding expectations for quality, efficiency, and service Demonstrate a growing understanding of blithequark's business and business objectives, IT divisional goals and objectives, various business areas, technical environments, and systems that support the blithequark business Recognize the impact of projects and/or changes to IT-supported systems and adapt troubleshooting to address the needs of the client Demonstrate independent judgment and accountability for results Effectively participate in development of interpersonal skills and professionalism in interactions with vendors, supported clients, and other IT teams Build and maintain helpful, cooperative, effective relationships with second and third-level IT teams, vendors, and supported clients Resolve or escalate incidents, and create internal news and knowledge base articles Participate in continuous improvement initiatives by evaluating internal tools and processes, and suggesting improvements Provide answers to clients by identifying issues, researching responses, and guiding clients through remedial steps Evaluate, analyze, and address end-users' IT system issues through first-level IT technical support via calls, chat, and/or email Requirements To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and qualifications: Passion for and genuine interest in IT Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and customer service skills Positive, mature, and professional attitude Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to work effectively in high-stress situations and within time constraints Remarkable work ethic, self-motivation, and ability to work independently Intermediate computer skills Availability to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications are preferred: Prior experience in a Service Desk or IT-related role Experience using a ticketing/global positioning system Knowledge of and experience using Google Applications, AS400, scripting, and other technical tools Prior experience in a customer-facing role or IT-related education or certifications Career Growth and Development At blithequark, we are committed to the growth and development of our employees.
