As a key member of our VFX team, you'll work closely with production groups, Studio Executive Producers, and Finance teams to ensure seamless collaboration and successful project delivery. **Key Responsibilities** * Oversee all aspects of the VFX process on assigned movie projects, including script analysis, VFX breakdowns, and budgeting * Collaborate with production teams, Studio Executive Producers, and Finance teams to ensure successful project delivery * Provide guidance and feedback on VFX scope of work and feasibility * Build and manage visual effects teams, including recruiting Supervisors, manufacturers, and vendors * Negotiate contracts and agreements with vendors, ensuring compliance with company regulations and budget constraints * Monitor VFX delivery progress and value file tracking, resolving any issues that may arise * Support the growth and maintenance of a robust VFX pipeline, ensuring timely and budget-friendly delivery * Work closely with the VFX Manager and VFX Producer to ensure high-quality work and adherence to industry standards * Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, applying knowledge to improve workflows and enhance visual effects * Assist in crafting, implementing, and executing strategic tasks and branch workflows in alignment with the Director, VFX **Qualifications** * 2+ years of experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously in managerial roles, including VFX Producer, Post-Production Manager, VFX Executive Producer, VFX Supervisor, etc. * Passion for visual effects and the artistry that makes it possible * Experience in gathering and negotiating vendor bids, and budgeting for visual effects * Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to handle sensitive topics and confidential information * Proven ability to lead without authority, with excellent government conversation skills * Understanding of modern trends for VFX manufacturing workflows * Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment, with a strong emphasis on organization and attention to detail * Self-motivation and a willingness to continuously learn and adapt * Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize multiple responsibilities **Preferred Qualifications** * Experience with 4K pipelines and emerging technologies for improving workflows * Knowledge of tax incentives and rebates * Familiarity with industry-standard software and tools, including Nuke, Maya, and Houdini * Experience with cloud-based workflows and collaboration tools * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think creatively and outside the box **What We Offer** * Competitive salary and benefits package * Comprehensive medical insurance plans, including medical, dental, and vision care * Intellectual fitness resources and assistance for employees * Stock options or stock grants to eligible employees * Paid time off and flexible work arrangements * Opportunities for continuous learning and development, including education programs and resources * Inclusive culture and work environment, promoting diversity and inclusion * Access to arenaflex's streaming service and other entertainment perks **How to Apply** If you're a motivated individual ready to contribute to a thriving team, we encourage you to apply now!
