Job Overview As a Staff Software Engineer at arenaflex, you will have the opportunity to work on high-impact projects that are critical to the company's success. You will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, deploying, maintaining, and improving software solutions that optimize the performance of high-performance computing (HPC) and machine learning (ML) applications on arenaflex's cloud infrastructure. With your technical expertise, you will oversee project needs, deadlines, and expectations, and provide technical guidance and direction to other engineers. Key Responsibilities Perform full-stack optimization for HPC and ML performance on arenaflex's cloud infrastructure, including kernel optimization, userspace communication libraries (e.g., MPI library, libfabric, NCCL), and client HPC and ML applications. Develop HPC and ML solutions on arenaflex's cloud platform, leveraging the company's state-of-the-art technology and expertise. Provide technical leadership and direction to other engineers, helping to shape the technical vision and strategy for the team. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize project requirements, and develop solutions that meet the needs of the business and its customers. Design, develop, test, and deploy software applications, ensuring that they are scalable, reliable, and meet the highest standards of quality and performance. Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong technical foundation, with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. You will also need to have at least 2 years of experience in software development, with a focus on systems programming, data structures, and algorithms. Additionally, you will need to have experience building and developing large-scale systems, distributed systems, or networks. Preferred Qualifications While not required, a Graduate degree or PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is highly desirable. You will also need to have experience with programming languages such as C++, as well as experience with Linux device drivers, networking stack, and operating system tuning and packaging. Experience with HPC and ML communications, including MPI, collective communication libraries, libfabric, and attachment programming, is also highly desirable. Skills and Competencies To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong set of technical skills, including: Programming languages such as C++, Java, and Python. Experience with Linux device drivers, networking stack, and operating system tuning and packaging. Knowledge of HPC and ML communications, including MPI, collective communication libraries, libfabric, and attachment programming. Experience with cloud computing platforms, including arenaflex's cloud infrastructure. Strong understanding of computer systems, data structures, and algorithms.
