**Job Summary**

As a Specialist, Building Controls, you'll play a critical role in ensuring client and partner safety and satisfaction while minimizing support costs for complex issues. You'll be responsible for conducting diagnostic procedures, providing proactive solutions, applying advanced software techniques, implementing solutions, and monitoring the effectiveness of solutions. You'll also perform exceptional or unique programming activities to building controls systems by adjusting or changing the building controls techniques, recognizing and responding to patterns with alerts, thawouts, and work orders, and identifying and responding to manufacturer reviews.

**Key Responsibilities**

* Conduct diagnostic procedures to identify and resolve complex issues related to building controls systems
* Provide proactive solutions to clients and partners to minimize support costs and ensure safety and satisfaction
* Apply advanced software techniques to optimize building controls systems and reduce energy consumption
* Implement solutions to address business needs and client requirements
* Monitor the effectiveness of solutions and make adjustments as needed
* Perform exceptional or unique programming activities to building controls systems
* Recognize and respond to patterns with alerts, thawouts, and work orders
* Identify and respond to manufacturer reviews
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to share knowledge, best practices, and resources
* Develop, communicate, and implement processes and practices to address business issues
* Analyze and apply data from multiple sources to inform business decisions
* Identify and capitalize on opportunities for growth and improvement

**Requirements**

* Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., computer science, engineering, business administration)
* 2+ years of experience in building controls, client support, or a related field
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
* Proficiency in programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, C++)
* Experience with building controls systems and software (e.g., BACnet, LON, Modbus)
* Strong understanding of energy management and sustainability principles
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and projects

**Preferred Qualifications**

* Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g., computer science, engineering, business administration)
* 5+ years of experience in building controls, client support, or a related field
* Experience with data analytics and business intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
* Certification in building controls or a related field (e.g., BACnet, LON)
* Strong understanding of cloud-based technologies and platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure)
