As a Staff Software Engineer on our Community Support Platform (CSP) team, you'll have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge technology, design, and infrastructure that powers our global community support operations. About the Role We're seeking an experienced Full Stack Software Engineer to join our team and help drive our initiatives. As a Staff Software Engineer, you'll work closely with our product, design, and engineering partners to build innovative solutions that improve Airbnb's specialist efficiency. You'll be responsible for leading and contributing to the full development cycle, from technical design to deployment, and will have the opportunity to mentor junior engineers and foster a culture of technical excellence. Key Responsibilities Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deploy scalable and efficient solutions that meet business needs Lead and contribute to the full development cycle, including technical design, development, testing, and deployment Review code and design documents, providing feedback on item specs and prototypes Coach and mentor junior engineers to develop their technical and collaboration skills Sustain a culture of technical excellence, from design to production Participate in code reviews and design conversations, and contribute to the improvement of colleague's efficiency Requirements To be successful in this role, you'll need: 9+ years of relevant programming experience in a fast-paced tech environment Strong expertise in backend frameworks, particularly in large-scale service-oriented architectures Experience with frontend or full-stack development Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams A passion for efficiency, accessibility, technical quality, and system quality A love for collaborating through code reviews and design conversations, and a commitment to improving colleague's efficiency A bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience Preferred Qualifications We're looking for candidates with: Experience with cloud-based technologies, such as AWS or Google Cloud Knowledge of machine learning and artificial intelligence concepts Experience with agile development methodologies and version control systems Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for learning and growth What We Offer As a Staff Software Engineer on our CSP team, you'll have the opportunity to: Work on cutting-edge technology and infrastructure that powers our global community support operations Collaborate with a talented team of engineers, product managers, and designers to build innovative solutions Develop your technical skills and expertise through training and mentorship programs Contribute to the growth and development of our team, and help shape the future of Airbnb's community support operations Enjoy a competitive salary and benefits package, including stock options and a comprehensive health insurance plan Participate in our flexible work-from-home policy, with the option to work remotely from anywhere in the US Our Commitment to Diversity and Inclusion At Airbnb, we're committed to creating a workplace that's inclusive and welcoming to everyone.
