As a Senior Engineer, you'll be responsible for providing technical support to the maintenance and operation of aircraft and related equipment. This role also involves developing and maintaining aircraft and component standards within areas of responsibility. **What you'll do** * Conduct training for Specialists in areas of expertise * Serve as a mentor to other Engineers * Act as a team leader/facilitator for project management or issue resolution * Collaborate with manufacturers and regulatory officials, as required, to ensure that technical procedures are properly validated according to applicable regulations and Company manuals * Develop customized methods and special procedures for repairs, modifications, inspections, adjustments, and other maintenance activities that are not adequately addressed in existing manuals * Stay informed about daily airline activities, including areas of responsibility. Review daily needs according to airline/departmental targets and management mandates * Investigate aircraft/part issues that may cause flight delays or cancellations, significant uses in labor or materials, or breaks in maintenance activities, and determine appropriate corrective actions * Provide technical support as needed to restore operational status * Respond to requests from Maintenance and other airline divisions when technical support is required to assist tasks or resolve issues * Develop activity plans for fleet/multi-fleet and component engineering projects and pursue completion according to evaluated needs * Collaborate with other airline divisions, as required, to facilitate effective and efficient execution of technical procedures * Develop technical documents to implement technical procedures by providing customized methods for repairs, modifications, inspections, or other maintenance activities that provide benefits according to airline/departmental targets and management mandates * Maintain knowledge of current and future regulations that affect areas of responsibility and ensure that all technical activities maintain compliance with applicable regulatory requirements * Utilize available resources to enhance levels of technical expertise and practical experience continuously.
