This role also involves establishing and maintaining aircraft and part standards within areas of responsibility. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of designing processes. **Key Responsibilities** * Conducts training for Specialists in areas of expertise * Serves as a guide to other Engineers * Acts as a team leader/facilitator over project management or issue resolution * Coordinates with manufacturers and regulatory specialists, as required, to ensure that designing practices are properly validated according to material standards and Company manuals * Creates customized methods and special procedures for repairs, modifications, inspections, adjustments, and other maintenance activities that are not adequately addressed in existing manuals * Stays informed about daily airline activities, including field of responsibility. Reviews daily needs according to aircraft/departmental targets and management mandates * Examines aircraft/part issues that may cause flight delays or cancellations, significant uses in labor or materials, or breaks in maintenance activities, and determines appropriate corrective actions * Provides designing support as needed to restore workable status * Responds to requests from Maintenance and other airline divisions when technical support is required to assist tasks or resolve issues * Develops activity plans for fleet/multi-fleet and part designing projects and pursues completion according to evaluated needs * Coordinates with other airline divisions, as required, to facilitate effective and efficient execution of designing practices * Develops designing documents to implement technical practices by providing customized methods for repairs, modifications, inspections, or other maintenance activities that provide benefits according to aircraft/departmental targets and management mandates * Maintains knowledge of current and forthcoming regulations that affect areas of responsibility and ensures that all designing activities maintain compliance with relevant regulatory requirements * Utilizes available resources to enhance levels of technical expertise and practical experience continuously. Also strives to improve communication skills, utilizing time effectively, and other personal characteristics relevant to maximum effectiveness and efficiency in performing assigned duties * Effectively interacts with senior colleagues and management **All you'll need for success** * Minimum Qualifications: Training and earlier professional experience * Four-year degree in Designing field or related Designing license * 1 year of designing experience in a related field or 2 years of experience without a degree * Abilities, Licenses, and Certifications: + A&P license + Knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc. + Ability to analyze technical information and make data-driven decisions + Demonstrated fitness, capacity, and willingness to take on new roles and responsibilities + Ability to prepare/convey presentations that promote recognition of solutions + Ability to interact with internal and external clients effectively **What you'll get** * Enjoy all that arenaflex has to offer: + Medical benefits: From the very beginning, you'll have access to your health, dental, prescription, and vision benefits to help you stay great.
