This role is a member of the Engineering Group within the Operations Division at arenaflex. As a Senior Engineer, you'll be responsible for providing technical support to the maintenance and operation of aircraft and related equipment. This role also involves establishing and maintaining aircraft and part standards within areas of responsibility.
What You'll Do
Conducts training for Specialists in areas of expertise
Serves as a mentor to other Engineers
Serves as a team leader/facilitator over project management or issue resolution
Coordinates with manufacturers and regulatory specialists, as required, and ensures that technical procedures are properly validated according to applicable regulations and Company manuals
Develops customized methods and special procedures for repairs, modifications, inspections, adjustments, and other maintenance activities that are not adequately addressed in existing manuals
Remains informed about daily airline activities, including areas of responsibility
Reviews daily needs according to airline/departmental targets and management mandates
Examines aircraft/part issues that may cause flight delays or cancellations, significant uses in labor or materials, or breaks in maintenance activities, and determines appropriate corrective actions
Provides technical support as required to restore operational status of discrepant circumstances affecting aircraft or parts
Responds to requests from Maintenance and other airline divisions when technical support is required to assist with tasks or resolve issues
Develops work plans for fleet/multi-fleet and part engineering projects and pursues completion according to evaluated needs
Coordinates with other airline divisions, as required, to facilitate effective and efficient execution of technical procedures
Develops technical documents to implement technical procedures by providing customized methods for repairs, modifications, inspections, or other maintenance activities that provide benefits according to airline/departmental targets and management mandates
Maintains knowledge of current and future regulations that affect areas of responsibility and ensures that all technical activities maintain compliance with applicable regulatory requirements
Utilizes available resources to enhance levels of technical expertise and practical experience continuously
Also strives to improve communication skills, utilizing time effectively and other personal characteristics relevant to maximum effectiveness and efficiency in performing assigned duties
Effectively interacts with senior colleagues and management
All You'll Need for Success
To excel in this role, you'll require:
Least Capabilities: Training and Earlier Professional training
Four-year degree in Engineering field or related Engineering license
1 year of engineering experience in a related field or 2 years of experience without a degree
Essential and Preferred Qualifications
You'll need to possess:
A&P license
Knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other relevant applications
Ability to analyze technical information and make data-driven decisions
Shows fitness, ability, and readiness to take on new jobs and responsibilities
Ability to prepare/convey presentations that promote acceptance of solutions
Ability to interact with internal and external clients effectively
