Job Summary The Station Agent position is a full-time role that requires a unique blend of customer service, technical, and operational skills. As a Station Agent, you will be responsible for handling customer inquiries, managing flight schedules, and coordinating with airport staff to ensure the efficient movement of passengers and cargo. Key Responsibilities Provide exceptional customer service, responding to customer inquiries, and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner. Manage flight schedules, including check-in, boarding, and departure procedures. Coordinate with airport staff, including ground handlers, security personnel, and other airlines to ensure the efficient movement of passengers and cargo. Load and offload baggage, cargo, and mail, using ground handling equipment such as dollies, forklifts, and conveyor belts. Perform pre-flight and post-flight inspections of aircraft, including checking for damage, cleanliness, and safety equipment. Operate airport ground handling equipment, including forklifts, dollies, and conveyor belts. Maintain accurate records and reports, including flight manifests, cargo manifests, and incident reports. Collaborate with other airport staff, including airline representatives, ground handlers, and security personnel to ensure smooth flight operations. Adhere to safety and security protocols, including procedures for handling hazardous materials and responding to emergencies. Essential Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; some college or university education preferred. At least 2 years of customer service or airport experience. Valid driver's license and a clean driving record. Ability to lift 75 pounds and work in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers, colleagues, and airport staff. Typing speed of at least 25 words per minute (WPM). Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Ability to work in a noisy, fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities. Proficiency in English, with the ability to read, write, and communicate effectively. Preferred Qualifications Previous experience working in an airport or airline environment. Knowledge of airport operations, including ground handling and safety procedures. Experience with airline reservation systems or other technical software.
