Key Responsibilities Design, implement, and maintain large-scale data systems, including data warehouses, data lakes, and data pipelines Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify data requirements and develop data architectures that meet their needs Develop and implement data pipelines that enable data-driven decision-making Work with cross-functional teams to integrate data systems with other business applications Ensure data quality, security, and compliance with regulatory requirements Troubleshoot data system issues and optimize data pipeline performance Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies in data engineering Develop and maintain technical documentation of data systems and architectures Essential Qualifications Advanced degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related STEM field At least 2 years of experience in data engineering, with a focus on designing and implementing large-scale data systems Strong technical skills in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala Experience with data warehousing and ETL tools such as Apache Hadoop, Apache Spark, and Apache NiFi Strong understanding of data modeling, data governance, and data quality Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail Strong communication and collaboration skills Preferred Qualifications Experience with cloud-based data platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes Experience with data security and compliance regulations such as GDPR and HIPAA Knowledge of machine learning and artificial intelligence concepts Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or D3.js Skills and Competencies Strong technical skills in programming languages and data engineering tools Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail Strong communication and collaboration skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks Strong understanding of data modeling, data governance, and data quality Ability to stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At blithequark, we are committed to the growth and development of our employees.
