At arenaflex, we are committed to moving individuals through our accounts in otherworldly ways that rejuvenate these encounters! **Key Responsibilities** As a Ride Advancement Specialist, you will be responsible for managing the entire lifecycle of complex and imaginative ride frameworks and related hardware, ensuring sturdiness, dependability, and security. Your key responsibilities will include: * Managing the design, planning, and delivery of a wide range of ride systems and related hardware, ensuring that they meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and innovation. * Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define system requirements and interface details, and to ensure that all stakeholders are aligned with the project vision and objectives. * Leading the daily activities of a design and development team through all phases of work, including planning, mockups, production, installation, testing, turnover, and close-out efforts. * Developing and maintaining technical documentation, including extension, examination, testing, risk, and report records. * Managing the procurement and oversight of vendors and contractors, ensuring that all work is completed to the highest standards of quality and safety. * Collaborating with the project acquisition team to assess, bid, and award outside contractor contracts. * Leading and managing the installation of ride mechanical equipment, field support, and testing, including performing field installation and testing exercises, such as hardware/site reviews, use of dynamic fall protection gear, and exploring the construction site with catwalks, ladders, framework, lifts, and restricted spaces. **Essential Qualifications** To be successful in this role, you will need to have: * A bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in ride design and development. * High-level mechanical design knowledge, including statics, dynamics, resistances, kinematics, stress/strain, and machine design. * High-level design expertise, including machine design, weldments, power trains, and materials. * Proficiency with design tools, including SolidWorks, Navisworks, AutoCAD, SketchUp, ANSYS, FEA, and Matlab. * Unparalleled design sensibilities and innovative problem-solving skills. **Preferred Qualifications** While not required, the following qualifications would be highly desirable: * Past experience working with Disney or the entertainment industry, with advanced knowledge of the business. * Experience with life safety plan/prerequisites. * Experience with model, development, or potentially innovative products. * Technical certifications, such as EIT, FE, or PE. * PE license. **Work Environment and Company Culture** As a Ride Advancement Specialist at arenaflex, you will be part of a dynamic and collaborative team that is passionate about creating innovative and immersive experiences.
