About the Role We're seeking an experienced Full Stack Distributed Systems Engineer to join our team and help us drive the next phase of our growth. As a key member of our Distributed Systems Engineer team, you'll be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining the scalable and highly available infrastructure that underpins our platform. You'll work closely with our engineering teams to identify and address business-critical needs, architecting and implementing solutions that meet our high standards for performance, security, and reliability. Key Responsibilities * Design and develop scalable, highly available, and secure distributed systems to support our growing user base * Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address business-critical needs, architecting and implementing solutions that meet our high standards for performance, security, and reliability * Develop and maintain high-quality, well-documented code that adheres to our coding standards and best practices * Participate in code reviews, ensuring that our codebase remains maintainable, efficient, and scalable * Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, working closely with our engineering teams to identify and address root causes * Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in distributed systems, cloud computing, and related technologies, applying this knowledge to improve our infrastructure and services * Contribute to the development of our open-source projects, collaborating with the broader arenaflex community to drive innovation and improvement Focus Areas * **Database Access Stage**: Our Database Access Stage team builds and maintains an adaptable query engine that enables our microservices to store, consume, and manage their data efficiently. This team plays a critical role in empowering our microservices to meet their growing and evolving data needs. * **Data Stage Foundation**: Our Data Stage Foundation team provides a platform for our own data platforms, enabling us to rapidly enhance our data and analytics capabilities without building custom platforms for each new framework. This team focuses on building high-impact frameworks, control, and deployment systems that meet the needs of running our data platforms at scale. * **Big Data Figure**: Our Big Data Figure team is responsible for providing a cloud-native stage for distributed data processing at arenaflex. This team plays a critical role in enabling big data processing in our Data Stage, offering support for Flash, ETL, and Druid, and providing sub-second latency for specific types of queries. * **Big Data Arrangement**: Our Big Data Arrangement team offers a stage for planning, organizing, and executing big data jobs and workflows in a self-serve manner. These stages include basic services that have all ETL and ML responsibilities running on Big Data Frameworks at arenaflex.
