Tesla Government Inc., a rapidly growing small business based in Falls Church, Virginia, is seeking a talented Full Stack Developer to join our dynamic team. As a Full Stack Developer, you will play a crucial role in building new features for our client-facing websites, leveraging a modern microservice architecture and a diverse tech stack that includes Java, Python, Typescript, Spring Boot, React, MySQL, and AWS.

The Role

As a Full Stack Developer at Tesla Government, you will be part of an agile team that values collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning. Your responsibilities will include:


Designing, developing, and testing new features for client-facing websites using a modern tech stack
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify project requirements and develop solutions
Participating in daily stand-ups, bi-weekly sprint planning, and weekly deployments
Writing production-quality code in a team setting, adhering to best practices and coding standards
Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues, ensuring high-quality deliverables
Staying up-to-date with emerging technologies and trends, applying this knowledge to improve our tech stack and development processes


Essential Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you should possess:


A US citizenship and eligibility to obtain a security clearance
A minimum of 3+ years of experience as a Full Stack Developer, with a strong background in software development
A computer science or related engineering degree from a 4-year university or equivalent work experience
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Proficiency in Java web development, preferably with Spring Boot
Experience working with modern JavaScript frameworks, preferably React
A strong command of TypeScript, with the ability to write production-quality code


Preferred Qualifications

While not mandatory, the following skills and experience will be considered a plus:


Familiarity working in an Integrated Development Environment (IDE) such as IntelliJ IDEA, Eclipse, NetBeans, and/or Visual Studio Code
Experience with microservices or Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA)
Strong Linux (terminal) skills, with the ability to navigate and troubleshoot Linux-based systems
Strong SQL skills, with experience designing and optimizing database queries
