Ensuring that our conversion data provides a high signal-to-noise ratio of users' business intent is crucial for delivering business value to our advertisers. We're seeking an experienced data scientist to help us refine our approach to conversion data quality and develop solutions to enhance the data foundation for our advertising system. **What You'll Do** As a data scientist on our team, you'll have the opportunity to work on a wide range of exciting challenges, including: * Conducting deep-dive analysis to identify patterns in real-world user conversion data and quantify the impact of data quality issues on our advertising system * Analyzing causal connections between users' online behaviors and conversions, identifying causal signals in data, and developing metrics to measure the effectiveness of our advertising * Designing and prototyping automated solutions to identify data quality issues, develop high-significance education labels and features to enhance advertising ML model performance, and collaborating with engineers to integrate them into our advertising system * Collaborating closely with Product and Engineering teams as a thought partner, providing data-informed guidance that shapes the future roadmap and drives long-term strategy for building a high-quality conversion data foundation **What We're Looking For** To succeed in this role, you'll need: * 3+ years of hands-on experience as a data scientist, research scientist, or systems learning engineer * Proven ability to apply scientific methods to solve real-world problems on web-scale data * Proficiency in SQL/Hive and expertise in at least one scripting language (preferably Python/R) * Strong business and product sense, with a passion for shaping ambiguous questions into well-defined analyses and success metrics that drive business decisions * Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present findings to management and product teams * Experience in causal inference and measurement, with familiarity of measuring causal impact using both online experimentation and observational study * Experience in data quality-related work, including quality assessment, anomaly detection, data cleaning, data governance, etc. * Proven ability to design and implement system learning models, preferably with biased/incomplete/noisy training data * Deep knowledge of feature design and model assessment is strongly preferred **What We Offer** As a member of our team, you'll enjoy a range of benefits, including: * Flexible and generous vacation and holidays * Global year-end paid business enterprise closure * Comprehensive health benefits for you and your family * Retirement plans that allow for tax savings (subject to country of employment) * Mental health and well-being benefits * Personal and professional development resources * Adoption assistance, paid parental leave, egg freezing (in the US), and other family-building benefits * Discounts and perks, including meals and snacks in the office **US-based candidates only** $35-$45 USD **Our Commitment to Diversity** arenaflex is an equal opportunity employer and makes employment decisions on the basis of merit.
