Our focus areas include customers, stores, and employees, in-store services, supplier equipment, supplier data science, and search and personalization. As a nimble startup incubated within blithequark, we're building a best-in-class suite of data products to provide actionable, customer-centric insights and help traders and suppliers make better business decisions on omnichannel 360 performance. **Job Responsibilities** As a Staff Data Scientist, you'll be responsible for: * **Data Source Identification**: Identify the most relevant data sources to support business initiatives, collaborating with stakeholders to define data requirements and develop data pipelines. * **Problem Formulation**: Analyze business problems, challenge assumptions, and develop data-driven solutions to drive business growth. * **Analytical Modeling**: Develop and deploy machine learning models to solve complex business problems, leveraging techniques such as deep learning, natural language processing, and computer vision. * **Model Deployment & Scaling**: Work with MLOps to deploy models to production, continuously logging and tracking model performance against defined metrics. * **Code Development & Testing**: Write code to develop and deploy data-driven solutions, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration. * **Applied Business Acumen**: Evaluate business cases for initiatives and projects, influencing stakeholder decision-making and driving the execution of deliverables. * **Model Assessment & Validation**: Identify and evaluate model assessment metrics, applying appropriate strategies for model testing and tuning to ensure accuracy, fit, validity, and robustness. * **Data Visualization and Storytelling**: Develop compelling stories based on data insights, using visualization tools to communicate complex information to diverse audiences. **What You'll Bring** * Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, with 4+ years of experience in an analytics-related field. * Deep knowledge of machine learning, statistics, and data science, with strong programming skills in at least one language (Python/R). * Ability to execute projects end-to-end, implementing best practices in ML Ops, coding standards, and data quality. * Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to translate complex algorithm evaluations into clear, actionable insights. * Experience working with cloud-based technologies, such as AWS or Azure, and familiarity with data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI. **What We Offer** * Competitive salary range: $30-40/hour * Comprehensive benefits package, including multiple health plan options, financial benefits, and education assistance * Opportunities for career growth and professional development, with a focus on mentorship and knowledge sharing * Collaborative and dynamic work environment, with a focus on innovation and experimentation * Flexible work arrangements, including remote work options and flexible hours * Access to cutting-edge technologies and tools, with opportunities to work on high-impact projects **Join Our Team** If you're a data enthusiast with a passion for driving business growth through data-driven insights, we invite you to join blithequark's Data Ventures team as a Staff Data Scientist.
