**Job Summary**
As an Experienced Full Stack Data Scientist – RWE and Clinical Data Science, you will be responsible for producing high-quality, actionable insights from real-world evidence (RWE) and clinical data. You will work closely with the Scientific Affairs team to design and execute advanced analytics and statistical analyses, leveraging your expertise in data mining, machine learning, and programming languages such as R, Python, and SQL.
**Key Responsibilities**
* Develop and maintain standardized, evaluation-ready patient cohorts from in-house data assets or certified systems, analyze and interpret results, and contribute to analytics strategy
* Partner with other members of the Walgreens Clinical Trial group to provide actionable insights from real-world, clinical, and other data assets to support biopharmaceutical RWE and clinical trial requests
* Clean, transform, and store data into an integrated data lake for future analysis and broader team consumption
* Perform data mining and statistical analysis to investigate RWE/RWD to identify new insights concerning patient populations and treatment outcomes
* Support the development of real-world data, analytics, and platform capabilities, applying advanced analytics and tools to address clinical questions from biopharmaceutical companies
* Collaborate on design and execution of results reports research
* Ensure high-quality, rigorous, and easily interpretable deliverables from RWE research and analyses
* Build dashboards, analytics, and reports for internal and external consumption
* Conduct due diligence on new real-world data companies and perform RWD quality assessments to inform investment decisions
**Essential Qualifications**
* Bachelor's degree or graduate degree and a minimum of 4 years of experience in a quantitative or computational role
* 4 years of experience in R, Python, or SQL
* Experience in designing and executing strong and reproducible statistical analyses in the context of epidemiology and observational studies with healthcare data
* Knowledge of common statistical testing methods, including generalized linear models, classification and discrimination, decision trees, unsupervised learning, time series analysis, and survival analysis
* Experience processing large data from diverse data sources
* Experience handling protected patient health data
* Knowledge of at least one of the following: Tableau, Power BI, Alteryx, Spotfire, or other business intelligence tools
**Preferred Qualifications**
* Ph.D., Master's degree in statistics/biostatistics, computer science, mathematics, systems engineering, biomedical engineering, or related field
* Expertise in EMR/Health IT, disease registries, and claims databases
* Expertise in clinical data standards, clinical terminologies, and managed vocabularies used in healthcare data and ontologies (ICD9/10/ReadCode)
* Experience in Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and/or regulatory compliance guidelines for real-world evidence research or clinical trials (e.g., ISO, MDD/MDR, CFR)
* Experience working on alternative data sources and alternative methods of clinical data collection, particularly those enabled by technology systems and/or solutions
* Experience with experimental design, Bayesian modeling, sequential data, computational statistics
* Understanding of data and systems learning techniques, ability to maintain self-learning of technical and non-technical skills
