As a Data Scientist (L5) – Customer Service, you'll play a key role in guiding our CS team to deliver top-notch customer experiences that align with arenaflex's business strategy and operational excellence. **About arenaflex** arenaflex is a global entertainment powerhouse, offering a wide variety of TV series, films, and games across multiple genres and languages. We're committed to ensuring that nothing gets between our members and their favorite shows, movies, and games. **The Role** As a Data Scientist (L5) – Customer Service, you'll be responsible for leading the evolution of CS metrics, identifying "north star" metrics, and driving them through CS teams. You'll think critically about business problems, deploy measurement techniques, and partner with executives, Product Managers, Data Engineers, Analytics Engineers, and Finance to foster a statistically rigorous, data-driven decision-making culture in CS. You'll also identify opportunity areas for experimentation and research, expanding the use of CS metrics across arenaflex to inform Product, Engineering, and Data Science. **Key Responsibilities** * Lead the evolution of CS metrics, identifying "north star" metrics and driving them through CS teams * Think critically about business problems and deploy measurement techniques * Partner with executives, Product Managers, Data Engineers, Analytics Engineers, and Finance to foster a statistically rigorous, data-driven decision-making culture in CS * Identify opportunity areas for experimentation and research * Expand the use of CS metrics across arenaflex to inform Product, Engineering, and Data Science * Develop and maintain complex data models and statistical frameworks to support business decisions * Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement data-driven solutions * Communicate technical concepts and recommendations to a variety of audiences, including Engineering, Product, and senior leadership **Essential Qualifications** * Advanced degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Physics, Economics, or a related quantitative field * Strong statistical knowledge and intuition, with applied experience developing business-centric metrics frameworks * Strong SQL skills and programming experience (Python preferred) * Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts and convey clear recommendations to a variety of audiences * Experience with a wide range of measurement and prediction techniques (correlation analysis, observational causal inference, forecasting, quasi experimentation) * Comfort working with complex data; ability to thrive with minimal oversight and process **Preferred Qualifications** * Prior experience with Customer Service is not required, but a desire to learn and become an expert is a must * Experience with data visualization tools and techniques * Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms and big data technologies * Strong understanding of data governance and data quality principles **Skills and Competencies** * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills * Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment * Strong attention to detail and organizational skills * Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams * Strong understanding of data-driven decision-making principles **Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits** * arenaflex is committed to helping you grow and develop your skills and career.
