**Experienced Full Stack Data Science Director – Global Data Strategy and Analytics**

We're now seeking an exceptional Director of Data Science to join our Risk Finance team and lead our Global Data Strategy group. **About blithequark's Risk Finance Group** The Risk Finance group, reporting to Corporate Planning (CP&A), is responsible for planning, forecasting, and evaluating global Loss Provision and Credit Reserves. This team also provides credit-related decision support to Risk Management, local Finance, and business groups on underwriting, customer management, credit, and collections activities. **About the Director of Data Science Role** As a key member of our Risk Finance team, the Director of Data Science will lead the Global Data Strategy group in developing and implementing centralized reporting capabilities, process enhancements, and automation. This role will drive innovative data solutions to provide strong forecasts and analytics for the wider Risk Finance organization. **Key Responsibilities** * **Lead Strategic Evaluation**: Lead the strategic evaluation of blithequark credit metrics, credit provision, and reserve for Senior Management in Risk and Finance. * **Data Asset Ownership**: Own precise information assets/packages within Risk Finance, and become a subject matter expert of the applicable tools (troubleshoot issues, reconcile results, identify enhancements and automation possibilities, and train other customers to drive adoption). * **Data Analysis and Reporting**: Develop and maintain preferred and ad-hoc reviews used by Risk Finance and/or business partners; provide credit-related analytical support. * **Key Analyses and Recommendations**: Develop and present key analyses and recommendations to Senior Management. * **Relationship Building**: Build and maintain relationships across Risk Finance portfolio groups and with partners in Risk, Controllership, Tech, etc. * **Analytics-Driven Decision Support**: Provide decision-aid with a strong emphasis on growing analytics that identify trends and opportunities within the portfolio, which can be used to optimize Business and Risk decisions. **Required Qualifications** * **Advanced Experience**: Advanced experience working with a maximum of the following is required: SQL/Hive, Power BI/Tableau, Python/R, VBA, TM1. * **Excel and PowerPoint Expertise**: Experience working with a sophisticated degree of Excel and PowerPoint required. * **Machine Learning (ML) Modeling**: Experience in ML modeling is a plus. * **Economic and Analytical Skills**: Solid economic and analytical skills; ability to work with large units of data and draw significant conclusions, empowering our business partners to make smart, data-driven decisions. * **Attention to Detail**: Superior interest in details, alongside exemplary organizational and problem-solving skills. * **Results-Driven**: Must be results-driven and proactive with the ability to manage multiple tasks and work within tight timelines. * **Ambiguous Task Management**: Desire to work on ambiguous tasks, growing clarity while achieving successful and significant outcomes. * **Strong Work Ethic and Interpersonal Skills**: A robust work-ethic and strong interpersonal skills, showcasing the ability to build and maintain relationships and successfully collaborate with team members to achieve goals. * **Master's Degree**: Master's degree in advanced mathematics or statistical discipline required. **Considerations for Sponsorship** Depending on factors including business unit requirements, the nature of the position, value, and relevant laws, blithequark may offer visa sponsorship for certain positions. **Compensation and Benefits** The anticipated salary range for this role is $55.00 to $85.00 hourly, plus bonus, equity (if relevant), and benefits.
