**Key Responsibilities**

**Essential Capabilities**
To be successful in this role, you'll need to have a strong foundation in data science and machine learning, as well as excellent communication and collaboration skills. Some of the essential capabilities we're looking for include:
* 3+ years of experience in data research and analysis, with a strong focus on machine learning and artificial intelligence
* 3+ years of experience working with data questioning languages (such as SQL), pre-processing languages (such as Python), or statistical/numerical programming languages (such as R, SAS, Matlab, etc.)
* 3+ years of experience working with data analysis tools and techniques, including data visualization and machine learning algorithms
* Experience applying theoretical models in an applied context
* Strong understanding of data modeling and data engineering principles
**Preferred Capabilities**
While not essential, we're also looking for candidates with experience in the following areas:
* Experience working with Python, Perl, or other pre-processing languages
* Experience working in a machine learning or data research role with a large technology company
