Focus Areas in Data Infrastructure Teams
### Data Set Access Stage
The Data Set Access Stage team designs and operates an adaptable query interface that enables data explorations to work at sub-millisecond latencies while allowing Netflix microservices to more effectively store, consume, and manage their data. This team holds a critical responsibility to empower Netflix microservices to meet their constantly evolving and advancing data needs.
### Information Stage Foundation
The Information Stage Foundation team serves as a platform for our own data platforms. Our shared framework and tooling enable Netflix to rapidly improve on providing cutting-edge data and analytics frameworks to the rest of the organization without building tailored platforms for each new framework. To do this, we create high-impact frameworks, control, and organization frameworks that are calibrated for the requirements of running our data frameworks at scale; particularly, many of our tools and frameworks are written in Python, so this is an excellent team to consider if you enjoy working in various languages.
### Data Development and Handling
This team offers a self-service cleared way item to empower diverse client personas across Netflix meet their low-latency data development and handling needs; enables reflection throughout complex Constant structures like Kafka and Flink; offers a Pattern-driven handling experience; invests in functional automation, reliability, and tools for predictable data quality.
### Large Data Figure
Responsible for providing the cloud-native stage for distributed data handling at Netflix. This team is crucial to cluster data handling in Information Stage. It offers support for Flash, to ETL data into the Petabytes-scale data warehouse and access that data using Flash and Voila/TrinoDB. It also provides sub-second latency to a specific class of queries using Druid. We're seeking outstanding talent with experience in Flash, Presto/Trino, Druid, Icy mass, and distributed database frameworks overall. Jobs in this team include tackling very fascinating and challenging issues of working with data at scale, building features and performance improvements, and working closely with open-source communities to shape the projects and make contributions.
### Large Data Arrangement
Offers the stage for planning, organizing, and executing large data jobs and workflows in a self-serve way. These stages include essential services that have all ETL and ML jobs running on Large Data Frameworks at Netflix. These fully distributed frameworks are continually evolving for Netflix scale with cutting-edge technology. We're moving towards event-driven and wise arrangement which would require minimal client input/mediation.
About You

* Driving cross-functional initiatives and collaborating with engineers, product managers, and TPMs across teams.

Requirements
* 2+ years of experience in building large-scale distributed systems or applications.
* Proficiency in the design and development of Tranquil web services.
* Experience in building and operating versatile, fault-tolerant, distributed systems.
* Knowledge of Java or other object-oriented programming languages.
* Multi-threading is a challenge that you're open to handling.
* A BS in Software Engineering or a related field.
