Experienced Full Stack Data Entry Specialist – Sports Information Management and Data Analysis

**About the Role**
As a Full Stack Data Entry Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, timeliness, and quality of sports information disseminated by the Details and Data team across various ESPN platforms, including television broadcasts, digital media, and social channels. You will work closely with our team of data analysts, writers, and producers to create engaging stories and narratives that captivate our audience.
**Key Responsibilities**
* Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of sports information disseminated by the Details and Data team across various ESPN platforms
* Work in individual settings and in groups to convey detailed breakdowns, clock-and-score, and other measurements and information in real-time to power a multitude of ESPN products and productions
* Create and maintain a working knowledge of the Details and Data team's role in fueling ESPN's digital products and television productions
* Conduct thorough checks on the results of one's own work and that of others, maintaining a consistently high level of scrutiny
* Contribute to the creation, development, and implementation of new projects and initiatives across the newsroom, supporting newsroom leaders in coordinating full- and part-time staff
* Identify potential issues, both short-term and long-term, and propose potential solutions, communicating rapidly and clearly with colleagues on these matters
* Play an active role in working with colleagues to create or refine production processes
* Participate actively in team and office meetings
* Seek and respond to feedback on personal performance
* Stay up-to-date on current office policies and procedures
**Required Capabilities**
* Working knowledge of teams, players, and the rules of various sports
* Full-time availability, including evenings (only), weekends, and holidays
* Ability to rapidly learn production processes that produce or maintain sports information controlling ESPN's digital and television products
* Capacity to achieve a high level of content accuracy in time-sensitive production circumstances
* Ability to communicate confidently, both verbally and in writing, to production managers and colleagues about production issues and opportunities, often in the midst of a busy newsroom
**Preferred Capabilities**
* 1+ years of experience working in sports or potentially analytics, ideally in media
* Knowledge of how sports information is used in media and for research purposes
* Working knowledge of ESPN products and productions
* Experience with Microsoft Excel and other Office tools
* Experience leading or training a team
* Ability to speak and write Spanish
* Experience incorporating social media in a business or news environment
**Required Education**
* High school diploma or equivalent
**Preferred Education**
* Professional education or equivalent
