Internship Details Duration: 12 weeks (May 21 to August 9, 2024) Location: Corporate Headquarters in Dallas, TX (with flexible work arrangements for part of the time) Work Hours: 40 hours per week Compensation: $28 per hour Benefits: Free, unlimited space available travel honors for yourself (assessments and fees may apply on international travel) Job Responsibilities As a Quality Control Standards Data Analyst Intern, your primary responsibilities will include: Performing and assisting in the Quality Control team with timely data collection, validation, and root cause analysis on data elements Helping to create and communicate results from complex data and analysis for both technical and non-technical clients and leaders Assisting in addressing critical ad-hoc requests resulting from emerging maintenance issues and providing analytical answers to enable Senior Leadership to make business decisions Presenting insights, trends, and potential recommendations using data visualization tools to ease stakeholder understanding Helping to develop and distribute specific queries to pull and coordinate data from various sources, establishing the rhythm, and validating the need for data requirements Identifying anomalies in processes through reviews/audits and communicating findings to the team Assessing the effectiveness of processes and procedures by monitoring for trends and errors Ensuring that a compliance mindset is at the forefront of every decision May perform other job responsibilities as directed by the Team Lead Requirements and Qualifications To be considered for this exciting opportunity, you should possess: Essential Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field Ability to gather, organize, and analyze critical measures of data with attention to detail and accuracy Effective communication skills, both written and verbal Proficiency in Microsoft Office Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Preferred Qualifications: Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Alteryx, and QuickBase Prior internship experience in a related field Knowledge of data analysis and statistical techniques Experience with PowerPoint and presentation development Capstone projects or coursework in data analysis or a related field What We Offer As a Southwest Airlines intern, you will have access to: A comprehensive learning and development program Opportunities to work with experienced professionals and build a network of contacts A dynamic and supportive work environment Flexible work arrangements Free travel honors for yourself and family members Career Growth and Learning Benefits At Southwest Airlines, we prioritize employee growth and development.
