**Key Responsibilities**
As a Key Information Researcher, you'll be responsible for:
* Collaborating with colleagues to drive the development and implementation of AI and machine learning models that enhance our attractions and create unforgettable experiences for our visitors.
* Working with internal partners to design and implement intelligent and data-driven systems across Disney Encounters (DX).
* Reporting to Attractions Functional Innovation and contributing to the creation of innovative solutions that drive business growth and customer satisfaction.
* Managing the development and maintenance of ML-related products and services, including functional support and upkeep.
* Building standard techniques used in everyday tasks and working with specialty units to plan, design, and execute large-scale projects in the AI space.
* Productionizing ML calculations in predictive analysis, clustering, image recognition, NLP, anomaly detection, and more, and assessing their performance on real-world datasets.
* Collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve goals in improving system performance and coordinating with existing software practices that produce efficient code, including automated testing, continuous integration, code style consistency, and code reviews.
**Essential Capabilities and Abilities**
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
* 2+ years of experience in Python and predictive modeling, including experience with TensorFlow, SparkMLib, PySpark, Light, MXNet, and more.
* 2+ years of experience in cloud platforms like AWS and GCP.
* Proficiency in SDLC, QA cycles, and Agile programming methodologies.
* Master-level experience in structured and unstructured data (i.e., images, video, text, etc.) and SQL social and non-social datasets.
* 2+ years of experience with Windstream or another data workflow management tool.
* Experience with version control software, like GitHub and GitLab, Model Operations, and CI/CD pipelines.
* Experience in driving discovery processes with partners to identify business requirements and desired outcomes, and a strong ability to communicate complex ideas and make decisions.
**Preferred Capabilities**
While not required, experience with the following would be a plus:
* Docker
* Control frameworks
* Kubernetes
* Cloud platforms in GCP or another cloud stage
* Atlassian tools like Jira and Confluence
* Agile development methodologies
* Automated testing, continuous integration, and continuous deployment
* Data representation and data validation tools (e.g., Splunk, Plotly, Tableau)
* Sound analysis
* Text analysis
**Education**
A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Science, Statistics, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related technical field is required. A Ph.D. in a related field is highly valued.
