As a data engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing complex data systems that meet the needs of our business. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify business requirements and develop solutions that drive business value. Your expertise in data engineering, cloud computing, and web development will be essential in helping us to achieve our goals. **Key Responsibilities** * Collect and process large, complex datasets that meet non-functional and functional business requirements * Identify, design, and implement process enhancements, including re-designing infrastructure for greater flexibility, improving data delivery, and automating manual processes * Develop and maintain data pipelines using AWS and SQL technologies * Build data-driven tools and applications to provide insights into key business performance metrics, including operational efficiency and customer acquisition * Collaborate with stakeholders, including data, product, and engineering teams, to resolve data-related technical issues * Work with stakeholders, including the leadership, product, data, and configuration teams, to address data infrastructure needs and resolve data-related technical issues * Create or modify hardware and technology to meet customer needs * Perform other work duties as directed by Representative's Chiefs **Essential Qualifications** * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field * 5+ years of experience in data engineering, cloud computing, and web development * Strong understanding of data engineering principles, including data modeling, data warehousing, and data visualization * Experience with AWS and SQL technologies, including Amazon S3, Amazon Redshift, and Amazon DynamoDB * Strong programming skills in languages such as Java, Python, and C++ * Experience with data pipeline tools, such as Apache Beam and Apache Spark * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify complex issues and develop effective solutions * Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams **Preferred Qualifications** * Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field * 10+ years of experience in data engineering, cloud computing, and web development * Experience with big data technologies, such as Hadoop and NoSQL databases * Experience with data science tools, such as Apache Mahout and Apache Spark MLlib * Strong understanding of cloud security and compliance, including AWS IAM and AWS CloudFormation * Experience with DevOps tools, such as Jenkins and Docker **Skills and Competencies** * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify complex issues and develop effective solutions * Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams * Strong programming skills in languages such as Java, Python, and C++ * Experience with data pipeline tools, such as Apache Beam and Apache Spark * Strong understanding of data engineering principles, including data modeling, data warehousing, and data visualization * Experience with AWS and SQL technologies, including Amazon S3, Amazon Redshift, and Amazon DynamoDB * Strong understanding of cloud security and compliance, including AWS IAM and AWS CloudFormation * Experience with DevOps tools, such as Jenkins and Docker **Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits** As a data engineer at blithequark, you will have the opportunity to work with a talented team of professionals who share your passion for data-driven decision making and innovative problem solving.
