Our Security and Legal Information Engineering team is at the forefront of developing adaptable data management and extraction structures, which are essential to our ability to maintain the highest data protection and cleanliness standards in the industry. We're seeking an experienced Data Engineer to join our team and help us build robust, flexible, and privacy-driven data structures. As part of this team, you'll work with various data technologies like Flash, Voila, Flink, Kafka, and others to create fast, flexible, and powerful data pipelines; write ETL tasks to collect and aggregate data; and design high-quality data structures that enable proper treatment of user personal data.

**Job Description**

Job Summary

We're looking for a highly skilled Data Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of our data management and extraction structures. As a Data Engineer, you'll be responsible for designing and implementing data pipelines, working with various data technologies, and collaborating with our security and legal teams to ensure that our data protection and compliance standards are met.

Key Responsibilities


Design and implement effective, flexible, and adaptable data pipelines to handle structured and unstructured data
Develop a deep understanding of the data ecosystem at arenaflex from a data protection perspective
Collaborate with the security and legal engineering teams to understand business objectives and provide data that enables us to respond to user and regulatory data requests
Maintain and re-evaluate existing datasets and pipelines
Join a talented team of data engineers who are dedicated to improving our data protection and mitigating legal and regulatory risks


Requirements

To be successful in this role, you'll need to have a strong background in data engineering, excellent problem-solving skills, and a passion for data protection and compliance.

Essential Qualifications


Strong experience in data engineering, with a focus on data pipelines and data management
Proficiency in at least one programming language (Java, Python, or Scala) with a minimum of 2 years of experience
Excellent understanding of advanced SQL concepts
Experience in designing data pipelines using big data technologies (Hive, Voila, Flash, Flink) on medium to large-scale datasets
Ability to take requirements and implement flexible and adaptable data models and pipelines


Preferred Qualifications


Experience working with cloud-based data platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)
Knowledge of data governance and compliance frameworks (e.g. GDPR, CCPA)
Experience with data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau, Power BI)
Strong understanding of data security and encryption concepts
