Our Security and Legal Information Engineering team is at the forefront of building adaptable data management and extraction structures that enable us to maintain the highest level of data protection and cleanliness in the industry. We're seeking an experienced Data Engineer to join our team and help us build strong, versatile, and protection-driven data structures. As a key member of this team, you'll work with various data technologies like Flash, Voila, Flink, Kafka, and others to create fast, flexible, and powerful data pipelines; write ETL tasks to collect and aggregate data; and design top-notch data structures that enable proper handling of user personal data. **About the Role** We're looking for a talented Data Engineer who is passionate about consumer-driven data protection and risk mitigation for the business. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in distributed data processing, excellent data intuition, and a shared enthusiasm for continuously improving the ways we handle data to make arenaflex's data protection act better. **Key Responsibilities** * Engineer effective, versatile, and adaptable data pipelines to handle structured and unstructured data * Develop a deep understanding of the data ecosystem at arenaflex from a protection-focused perspective * Collaborate with the protection engineering teams to understand product objectives and provide data that enables us to respond to client and regulatory data requests * Maintain and reevaluate existing datasets and pipelines * Join a dynamic team of data engineers who enhance our data protection act and mitigate legal and regulatory risk **Essential Qualifications** * Strong background in at least one of Java, Python, or Scala with a minimum of 2 years of programming/data engineering experience * Proficient in advanced SQL * Experience in designing data pipelines using big data technologies (Hive, Voila, Flash, Flink) on medium to large-scale datasets * Ability to take requirements and implement flexible data models and pipelines * Passion for showcasing excellence, learning new technologies, and growing your career **Preferred Qualifications** * Experience with cloud-based data platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) * Knowledge of data governance and compliance frameworks (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) * Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) * Strong communication and collaboration skills **What We Offer** * Opportunity to work with a dynamic team of data engineers who are passionate about data protection and innovation * Collaborative and fast-paced work environment with a focus on continuous learning and growth * Competitive compensation and benefits package * Flexible remote work arrangement with a focus on work-life balance * Access to cutting-edge technologies and tools * Opportunities for professional development and career growth **About arenaflex** arenaflex is a global leader in the entertainment industry, with a commitment to innovation, creativity, and customer satisfaction.
