As a key member of our DSE team, you'll play a critical role in shaping our customer service strategy, leveraging data to inform business decisions, and driving process improvements that enhance our members' experience. **The Role** As a Full Stack Data Engineer – Customer Service at blithequark, you'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deploy scalable data pipelines that transform raw data into actionable business insights. Your expertise will be instrumental in building reliable, efficient, and secure data infrastructure that supports our customer service operations. You'll work closely with data engineers, software engineers, and business stakeholders to: * Design and implement data pipelines using big data technologies (Hive, Presto, Spark, Flink) on medium to large-scale data sets (10s of millions of records) * Develop custom visualization tools that surface critical customer service insights * Collaborate with business leaders to identify key performance indicators (KPIs) and develop data-driven solutions to improve customer satisfaction and loyalty * Work with data scientists to develop predictive models and analytics that inform business decisions * Ensure data quality, security, and compliance with blithequark's data governance policies **Requirements** To succeed in this role, you'll need: * At least 4 years of experience engineering data pipelines using big data technologies (Hive, Presto, Spark, Flink) on medium to large-scale data sets (10s of millions of records) * Strong data modeling skills, with the ability to design structures that adapt to changes in source data or business processes * Proficiency in Python or Scala, with a passion for writing clean, supportable code * Advanced SQL skills and a strong advocacy for data quality * Analytical aptitude to think through business problems and prioritize autonomously * Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with analysts, engineers, and business leaders **Preferred Qualifications** * Experience with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) * Familiarity with data warehousing and business intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) * Knowledge of machine learning algorithms and predictive modeling techniques * Experience with data governance and compliance frameworks (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA) **Why Join blithequark?** At blithequark, we're committed to fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and inclusivity.
