**Job Description:**
As a Lead Data Engineer at careerzynith, you will be responsible for:
* **Designing and Developing Data Solutions:** Collaborate with our Information Item Chiefs, Information Modelers, and Information Architects to design, develop, and implement data solutions that meet the needs of our business stakeholders.
* **Data Warehousing and ETL Pipelines:** Plan and develop scalable data warehousing solutions, building ETL pipelines in large data environments (cloud, on-prem, hybrid) using technologies like Hadoop, AWS, Snowflake, and more.
* **Data Engineering and Architecture:** Help engineer data structures and define data models for our core data warehouse and data shops, ensuring data quality and governance.
* **Team Collaboration:** Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure successful data solution implementation, including Information Science, Information Examination groups, and other stakeholders.
* **Documentation and Quality Assurance:** Maintain detailed documentation of your work and changes to ensure data quality and data administration.
* **SLA and Client Satisfaction:** Ensure high functional productivity and quality of your solutions to meet Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and support our commitment to our clients.
* **Agile and Scrum Practices:** Participate in agile and scrum practices to ensure team well-being and cycle enhancements.
**Key Capabilities:**
* **SQL and Data Analysis:** Strong SQL skills and ability to write queries to extract insights and build performant datasets.
* **Distributed Systems:** Experience with distributed systems like Hadoop (HDFS, Hive, Voila, PySpark) to query and process large datasets.
* **Programming Languages:** Proficiency in programming languages like Python, Java/Scala.
* **MPP and Cloud Database:** Experience with at least one major Massively Parallel Processing (MPP) or cloud database technology (Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery).
* **Data Integration and Pipelines:** Strong experience with data integration toolsets (i.e., Wind current) and composing and maintaining data pipelines.
* **Data Modeling and Warehousing:** Familiarity with data modeling strategies and data warehousing standard practices and methodologies.
* **Agile and Scrum:** Experience with agile and scrum approaches.
